There are changes on the economic horizon for Destiny 2, as Legendary Shards will soon be phased out from the game. What does this mean in the larger scheme of things? Well, if you’ve been stockpiling them, then now is a good time to splurge as Xur is back in the cosmic neighborhood with new Exotics available. Here’s where Xur can be found this weekend and what he has up for grabs.
This week, you can locate Xur in the EDZ, specifically in the Winding Cove area. For his weapon, Xur is offering Trinity Ghoul. Hunters can acquire the Young Ahamkara’s Spine gauntlets; Titans have the option to grab the Crest of Alpha Lupi armor; and Warlocks can purchase the Ophidian Aspect gauntlets.
Xur’s whereabouts in the EDZ.
Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone, then ride your sparrow and head north. Take the collapsed overpass on the left and look for a cave near the bend in the road. Follow the tunnel through the cliff face to reach a higher ridge where a Fallen dropship has crashed; you’ll find Xur waiting there.

The cap on Exotic Ciphers has also been raised, allowing you to hold up to five of them at a time.
Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Exotic Hunter gauntlets)
Young Ahamkara’s Spine
This set of eerie gauntlets will extend the duration and blast radius of your Tripmine Grenades, making it ideal for Hunters who want to set explosive traps. Ability damage also grants energy to your Tripmine Grenades, reducing the time it takes to recharge. In terms of stats, recovery is very high, while recovery and strength are low. The discipline stat is above average, so you won’t need to invest too many armor mods into this Exotic.
